Hi Kristen,
I’m not a purist, either. I did use henna though for many years. I went grey in my twenties, and in my 30s did all henna. Then it was making my hair weird and I didn’t like it. I also decided to go lighter. My hair stylist is a genius, but also, I grew out all my gray for many years and then cut my hair… it was all very gradual. I looked at my grey day in and day out. Since I love seeing my stylist friend, I’m happy again with my lightened hair. It makes me feel better while being an older mother of a young child.
